After the Las Vegas adventure, the California Bar forgave him and let him back in.

Who knows, perhaps they re-edited it. I missed Devlin, but I guess she was still off on leave. Too bad, I liked the show for the most part, and Shark certainly was a complex character.

Certainly glad I watched it, even with the reported season cliff hanger non-event We certainly got some more character exposition. Perhaps that is what they were setting up for next season, a bigger conflict with his daughter.

Watched it last night but not in HD. Maybe she will be a bigger part of the show in the future. She isn't in some episodes or barely and I understand the show isn't about her and Shark per se but still.

Well, unless something happened I don't know about, she will not be in any future episodes: Shark has been cancelled.

Given the number of sources I read that reported the "daughter in peril" cliffhanger for this episode, I'm wondering if the producers didn't pull a Jericho and film an alternate ending that could be used if the show didn't get renewed.

I think Shark jumped itself once the main character broke the law in order to enforce the law. Final episode had everyone forgetting the Constitution and Gitmo moments abounded. (Let's grab suspects and beat them into revelations about the crime.)

I still think this is a good show and sorry to see it go. I think the ending was a good way to end the show

I think Shark jumped itself when it started to stray away from legal/courtroom drama to crime drama.

In the series finale, we don't even get Shark in the courtroom at all, unless you count his mock courtroom with Wayne as the judge (I don't).

I agree, it was the perfect way to sum up a crime drama that kept trying to masquerade itself as legal/courtroom drama.
