Awesome to see 2 non-HDNet games (Sabres/Canes on Vs., Blues/Sharks on FSN/CI) games on D* ch 95 in the first 2 nights, plus Flyers Pens which is also on HDNet (apparent waste of BW).

I'm not counting on seeing the same amount of ch 95 games once the NBA starts. Late last season ch 95 began carrying more and more NBA, less and less NHL. I don't think ch 95 carried an OLN HD feed in all of March. I hope I'm pleasantly surprised this year.

I forgot how fantastic HDNet games look. And it's not just PQ. The STL/SJ game from the FSBA-HD feed looked almost as good as the HDNet game in pure PQ. The difference is that FSN channels have to still frame the shot for 4:3, whereas HDNet can concentrate on the 16x9 picture and frame shots that take full advantage of the aspect ratio. You see WAY more of the zone at one time on HDNet, and it really makes a difference.

Now, their announcers I'm not that crazy about...

I was extremely happy to see SJ Sharks in HD on ch95. We here in Sacramento have not been getting FSN Bay Area HD (something about not getting the spotbeam). Hope D* keeps up the HD Sharks games.
As for the announcers, they were Randy Hahn & Marty McSorely. It was McSorely's first game announcing, so he was kind of nervous. McSorely is taking over for Drew Remenda who paired with Hahn were the best announcing pair in the NHL.

It seems DirecTV now offers select games in HD as part of Center Ice? I also watched the Sharks in HD last night (FSN-HD Bay Area), and also the Penguins' home opener (FSN-HD Pittsburgh) on channel 95, and tonight we've got Red wings and Penguins in HD on channel 95 again, which should be the FSN-HD Detroit feed.

I hope some MSG-HD feeds will be shown in the future!

Who's getting extra games in HD w/ Center Ice?

What channels are they on and what service do you get?

Are those extra channels on DISH working yet?

Is anyone in the US getting CBC or TSN games in HD?

I have TWC in LA and didn’t even get the local HD production from FSN Friday night.

I have TWC/Comcast in Memphis. For us, the HD games from InDemand Center Ice show up on the special generic "HDPPV" channel (I had always wondered what that channel was for, now I know).

According to the schedule, they're going to do at least one TSN-HD game this month, on Tuesday. Of course, they also said Thursday's first HD game was from the CBC, when it was actually from FSN Detroit.

Here's the InDemand schedule. Of course, this doesn't apply to Dish or DirecTV/

The game was actually on channel 94. I noticed 94 lit up about about mid-day and switched my recording over to 94. They may have done that in case the USC game ran over on 95.

PQ was crisp and perfect. Nice to see the Wings in HD for once.

Here's the HD games from D* so far for NHL Center Ice on Channel 95 that I saw, does anyone have a simliar list for DIsh, it would be good to check up on both providers.

D* Channel 95 games this past week
10-4-06 Buffalo/Carolina (Versus)
10-5-06 Philadelphia/Pittsburgh (FSN Pitt)
10-5-06 St. Louis/San Jose (FSN BA)
10-6-06 Boston/Florida (FSN FL)
10-7-06 Detroit/Pittsburgh (FSN Detroit) (technically channel 94)
10-8-06 None

Also a big minus to D* for screwing up yesterday's Flames/Oilers game after an entire half a period.

Thanks for the link, too bad my Adelphia/TWC hasn't updated it's lineup so I can't get the games yet. It looks good w/ the upgrade due in November (fingers crossed).

Right now I'm checking options to see what system has the most HD on Center Ice, thanks to all for your input...

Good job, lokar. Also, on the 7th we had Blues-Kings. Is there a way to check this in advance? Does the Guide (http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/epg/theGuide.jsp) get updated daily? Would be nice of DirecTV to provide a schedule.

Tonight we have Coyotes-Blue Jackets at 7 PM!: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/epg/d?id=77957881

Hockeykid,
So your saying you DON'T get the Sharks games in HD thru D*? I'm currently on SD still, but was thinking of upgrading to HD partly to get the Sharks in HD thru FSN. The lady on the phone(of course most of them don't know crap) said we could get all there games on the RSN in HD. Also, she said if I had CI I could get any of the games in HD as long as they are broadcast in HD(once again, doesn't know any better). So it looks as if none of this is true, huh. BIG bummer. And personally, I liked Drew Remenda better than McSorley. But he's more of a commentator anyway. I still like the play by play guy.

Someone is screwing up big time tonight as the HD feed on INHD is being blacked out on Cablevision. We can get the SD feed fine on Versus but who cares?
