Pre-Adelphia/Comcast TWC Customer's, please list HD games you are getting on the PPV and/or Special Events Channels.

According to their website, D* is showing NBA preseason basketball tonight on channel 95 instead of an NHL game. Inexcusable, time to bombard them with complaints after a relatively good first week of HD hockey.

According to their website, D* is showing NBA preseason basketball tonight on channel 95 instead of an NHL regular season game. Inexcusable, time to bombard them with complaints after a relatively good first week of HD hockey from D*. Now if only they would get some kind of agreement with FSNY HD so I could see my Devils...

EDIT: MY apologies, I didn't mean to double post, there was a server too busy message so I reposted and didn't know my original one got through.

2 questions:

1. does anyone know whether the Buf-Detroit game tomorrow night is being shown in HD by D*?

2. does anyone have D*, with the NHL package, the HD package and the RSN package? If yes, are you getting NHL games in HD in addition to those shown on ch. 95? specifically, D*'s website says that if you get the HD and the RSN packages, you will get a bunch of the RSNs in HD. Since many of those same RSNs show their local NHL games, I'm wondering whether this means you get more NHL in HD?

thanks.

I have recently dumped D* for my local FIOS company. Pic quality is great and I have NHL Center Ice. I also have HDnet and INHD so I get 3 games a week in HD.

I was suprised D* had so many HD games the first week. Last year D* started off strong, but I recall not even that many games were in HD as it seems there has been one every day this year. I was a little disappointed at having switched, because of loss of HD games, but I gain pic quality and pay 30+ dollars a month less which includes an HD DVR.

I was wondering if D*'s HD hockey covergage would continue with a game everyday, but it is looking like maybe the same as last year. We were lucky to get an HD game a week other than the two on HDnet. I really wish they would come out with an NHL Center Ice in HD package.

Watching CI in SD is passable, but after watching the HD game and then switching over is a huge letdown.

Ok on the mainpage it says Buffalo/Detroit is in HD but your link says otherwise, this is confusing as hell now!

DISH CI final has posted the games for week two.

http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/p...le/index.shtml

It is pathetic for games in HD. Zero.

look harder, they have 3 CBC games highlighted in asterick which is wrong but they have next Wednesday's TSN-HD game scheduled.

Only 1 CBC-HD game is in HD and it's Calgary @ Toronto. Why is Dish trying but failing at getting the schedule correct.

Very exciting news is RDS is being used for 2 games vs. Calgary and at Chicago, very cool news! Hopefully the PPV games from the Canucks, Oilers and Flames will be used when needed, I urge people to e-mail NHL.com and tell me you guys want the same games Bell Expressvu gets. Of course I have not gotten a response yet.

The first PPV game needed is October 25th Canucks @ Blackhawks. What made me mad was the highlights of the PPV games were on NHL.com to watch the next day and you could see the Bell Expressvu logo on the screen.

The lady on the phone(of course most of them don't know crap) said we could get all there games on the RSN in HD. Also, she said if I had CI I could get any of the games in HD as long as they are broadcast in HD(once again, doesn't know any better). So it looks as if none of this is true, huh. BIG bummer. And personally, I liked Drew Remenda better than McSorley. But he's more of a commentator anyway. I still like the play by play guy.
From FSN Bay Area website http://www.fsnbayarea.com/FSNHD.jsp

SATELLITE FSN HD CHANNEL #
DIRECTV 96

zip codes: 940-941, 943-951, 954

NOTE: Currently only customers in the above mentioned zip codes can get FSN HD on DirecTV. DirecTV customers require a MPEG-4 receiver, either the H2O or HR20 (the DirecTV HD DVR), and the 5 LNB dish. For more information about FSN HD on DirecTV, please call 1-800-DIRECTV or visit www.directv.com.

So no, I don't get FSNBA HD Sharks games because my zip code is 95661. Something about only spotbeaming to certain zip codes, and Sacramento area is not in the spotbeam area. It sucks.
Maybe there is something different if you have CI though?

ehren,

You are correct. I should have said two instead of zero.
But that is still currently pathetic considering how many
Bell has. But I do prefer the DISH SD CI over the Bell
SD CI, so I will not be sending the NHL an email.

Well I think Dish should have the same games in HD that Bell does as well, for cripe sakes they use the same recievers, just different software.

Comcast in NJ stepped up.

FSN-HD (Devils) are on INHD1
MSG-HD (Rangers) are on INHD2.

Funny, they can accomplish this but couldn't do this with the Mets and Yankees all baseball season.

Yeah, ehren they have the same receivers, but I think the key
component is they have different markets and therefore different
games.

Thats only in the NY NJ area. Comcast preempts inhd 1 and 2 with MSGHD and FSNYHD for the local games.

Funny, the EPG has the Car/PIT game as the only HD game that night. I would be ecstatic if Dish did have that Cgy/Tor game in HD, but I'm not holding my breath!

It's unfortunate but same thing as last year the NBA would bump the NHL for HD games most of the time. As bad as the NBA is, it's still watched more then hockey. :(
