Cinemax-HD was running promos all during September hinting at the arrival of the complete series of films, coming in November. But they were being coy about it... "Order will be restored." The question was whether they'd be running it as an all-day Marathon, or in a daily strip? The answer to both questions turns out to be, Yes.

The 14 hour (13h,45m) Marathon starts on Saturday, Nov11, with an "all-day" showing of all 6 episodes I-VI back to back, starting at Midnight. Then it starts over again at 1:50pm on Saturday, then again (and again) on Sunday. 4 times in a row! Saturday through Sunday, until Monday morning at around 7:30am.

- 12:00am, Nov11
- 1:50pm, Nov11
- 3:40am, Nov12
- 5:40pm, Nov12

Then they're breaking it into two segments, on 2 consecutive days:

I-III back to back: 5:15pm, Nov16

IV-VI back to back: 5:45pm, Nov17

Then we finally get the "order restored" version, with IV-VI, then I-III airing daily at noon, from Nov20-25.

Lastly, another daily run of I-VI in the 10pm time-slot, from Nov26-Dec01.

The only thing that really surprised me was that they had been saying that "Sith" was going to run first (it's been airing on HBO, but not at all on MAX yet), and then "order will be restored". But it looks like it's not going to play out that way. And why not focus on more airings with "order restored"? Luckily, with 4 Marathons in a row, you can jump in after the first 3 if you like. In any event, definitely something to look forward to.

The only remaining question will be, which eps will be OAR? Fingers crossed on that one.

So after Nov 11, will there be other movies on Cinemax at all?
Also, I know not of these "I-III" you speak

If the original trilogy is OAR (and 5.1), woo-hoo!!

I'll stop ripping my BDs when I can put them in and watch the movie without trailers, warnings, cutesy menus...

Special note:

1 has never aired on pay cable before.
3 and 4 have not aired on Cinemax before.

I'll just wait until the hexology is shown on HBO-HD. I'm not going to pay another $20/month just to get Cinemax-HD (cablevision won't bundle Cinemax seperate from Showtime and TMC on their digital tier)

anyone know when the Hexology will be on HBO-HD ?

My question is will 4-6 be original or the terrible 90's re-edits? Jabba the Hutt should not be in episode 4.

I would be shocked if they were not the remastered special editions. From a picture quality standpoint only, this is what we should be hoping for.

> My question is will 4-6 be original or the terrible 90's re-edits? <<br />
There's no question that these will be the remastered special editions. They produced the HD versions when they remastered the DVDs. As much as we'd like it to be otherwise (and perhaps some far-off day it will be), hopefully there won't be a big stink about this (since it will serve no useful purpose, and diminish the fact that we're getting all 6 eps dropped in our laps in HD).

There's also no question that they were mastered in OAR. The question will be if MAX decides to crop to fill the screen or not. Based on the airing of ep.3 in OAR on HBO, I'm hopefully optimistic that 4,5,6 will be OAR as well.

My crystal ball on 1,2 is much more murky... especially since there's a transfer of ep.2 that's already aired that's cropped. Perhaps they'll be motivated to present them all in their best light, and with the others in OAR will re-do ep.2 that way as well. That would be ideal. I have my fingers crossed that whatever influence LF wielded to get Sith aired OAR (in spite of HBO policies) will be used again during this "major motion-picture event".

OTOH, it's not impossible that they'd just crop ep.3, and air them ALL cropped, just for consistency. We'll know in 39 days.

Very lucky, Mike! I know Middletown as we take 301 as a better drive than 95. Nice to think you have better connectivity than us big-city suburban slickers!

At any rate, the OAR issue is critical to me. I don't subscribe to Cinemax now, and won't sub for cropped movies. Not that they care...

Why not just get Cinemax for a month then cancel it after the hexology airs?

I think the title should be changed to read "Star Wars Saga: November Cinemax-HD." Nice try with "hexology" but I don't think that one's going to stick (except maybe in this particular thread).
