I have never before had a problem with the program info TiVo uses failing to ID a new show for which I have a season pass as new. Nevertheless my problem with SVU may have been caused by such a glitch, so I have changed my season pass to include reruns. Thanks for the suggestion, hope it works.

Well somebody likes him besides me. He's listed in the opening credits (the part where they play the theme music) on tonight's show. Also is part of the group shot at the end of the opening credits. By the way, he is still clean shaven.

Doesn't sound like someone going away soon.

To me this last episode was especially horrific as it depicted the moral decline of a women who made the wrong decision and took a path without redemption. The SVU detectives could do nothing about it. The judge made a brutal call. There was no quick solution to this nightmare.

And Deputy Chief William Dodds (Peter Gallagher) is completely despicable. His lack of empathy towards Olivia is too much. While he accused Olivia of having an agenda, it appears that he too may have an agenda.

And where was Amaro? Was this episode out of sequence?

I did not like the episode from 2 weeks ago. About the 20 year old man with female grudges from his middle school and high school life. The reason why I do not like it is because it was too life-like, taken from the headlines. I know, the Law & Order series usually does spoofs of real life events but it just seemed wrong to me.

You know.. that scenario played out in real life a few months back. The California? college student who stabbed all those female students due to them not paying attention to him. It's like we are glorifying his crimes by making a TV show about it

how is this different from any other L&O storyline (or any other crime show like CSI) has done, basing the show's story off a recent crime event?

It's not. Just the subject I guess, didn't suit me very well.

No discuss on the protagonist spoke like Hugo Weaving's Agent from the Matrix? That bothered me the most.

The episode from last week: What does everybody think about the tween girls crossing their pinkys in the elevator meant? They were both into it, but only one got charged?

I watched the 3-part crossover - Chicago Fire to SVU to Chicago PD. Overall I enjoyed it, although there were some plot holes you could drive a truck through (for example, Chicago doesn't have their own version of SVU?).

I reconfirmed the fact that Chicago Fire does nothing for me. It appears to be a soap opera with a fire thrown in now and then. SVU is still a very good show. Chicago PD is okay but does not keep me interested enough to DVR.

That being said, the topic was disturbing and the outrage that both police departments displayed was right on. Well worth the time.

It's good that we don't all like the same thing. Of the three shows, Chicago Fire is now my favorite.

No doubt!

There have been shows that I liked but my friends just scratched their heads and vice versa. Most of the reality shows to me are horrible yet somebody is watching. At the same time, for some reason I watch Bar Rescue and Restaurant Impossible. Go figure...

I post to comment on last week's show, the creepy Holden's Manifesto. I was deeply impressed with the talent of the young actor who played Holden, John Karna. Karna was discovered a couple of years ago while he was a freshman at the University of Oklahoma. I really enjoyed the episode, although I was not only not put off by the deputy chief's decision to have the SWAT sniper take out Holden at the earliest opportunity I enthusiastically agreed with it. After all, the kid had just brutally killed three people and still held a gun. I thought Amanda's empathy with the kid caused her to lose sight of just how deranged and incredibly dangerous the kid was. Three cheers for Deputy Chief Dodds (his as*holeness notwithstanding)!

I'm okay with this! Jason Beghe is a great actor, would love to see him star in SVU.

Yeah, I noticed.

Maybe it's just because I've been reading the news more often. Could swear this season is based on "actual" events. Guess when you've had 16 seasons, original creativity gets hard.

Hate when that happens.

Yeah, ripped from the headlines. Guess I'm just focusing more and more about the world news. I see the two related stories.

Hey it happens. You can't have everybody every week on screen with an ensemble cast. How many times were Fin and/or Munch not in an episode (yet were in the opening credits)?

Interesting that Fin referred to Olivia as Lou (did not sound like Liv) in the opening even though she is a sergeant.
