The hit at the end was pretty good, guy got "Moe Greened".

There were two parallel plot lines dealing with fallen idols. The asian kid looked up to Junior just as Tony had always looked up to his idols including Pauly, Junior and his father. In each case the student was disappointed in his mentor.

I agree with this. There will be no deals for Tony.

I suppose, but he's pretty senile and incoherent. With Junior, I think he'd be either too senile to help them, or would never ever talk if he was of sound mind. Plus he has that lawyer who is probably paid for by the family, and wouldn't allow it. But he does have some anger toward Tony.

I liked Junior's letter to Cheney seeking special understanding about "accidental shootings." They should end the season with Junior and Cheney in the same mental institution.

Honestly, this episode just didn't do it for me. We had lots of reflective, godfather II style stuff with Tony and Paulie, which ended up becoming grating. The writers spent too much time on Junior and the MIT dropout guy - I just want to see both those characters die; Jr. is a bully and the other guy is just a distraction away from the main plot.

However, I did like that Paulie wasn't murdered and that he had like 4 identical pairs of the same white shoes.

But compared to the awesome first two episodes this season, this came across as a disappointment, mainly because - even though this sounds immature - it really wasn't clever or fun.

The part about reaching him easier through Halliburton was hilarious as well, two arrows shot, both hitting the bullseye.

what's going on fellas..

I'm one of those guys that just loves the show... alot of people complain there's not enough action etc... the shows alot deeper then people getting whacked non stop.

clearly the show isn't as good as the first few seasons... but it's still a good show.

entourage is also a great show ... maybe more of a show for the younger crowed... it's like a young guy sex n' the city.

anyway, HBO is killing it with the shows right now, other then sho-time has "WEEDS" another of my favorites.

ight later guy.

I just thik Tony is annoyed at Paulie, but he has always run his mouth non stop and Tony is also becoming extremely paranoid.

a boring episode, we could have done without all that time in the mental hospital. Just 6 episodes left, and alot of loose ends.. So many hoods, so little time..

My thoughts exactly. Tony is telling people "All is good, things are going good", but the truth is that he's paranoid that this is the calm before the storm. Maybe he's right...

Junior in a "One flew over the cukoo's nest" enviroment is a classic. I loved this episode and its vintage Chase and nobody's going to fiqure out where this is going. The Sopranos is just a high class drama. I've enjoyed these last three episodes more than any other season so far. It seems to get better with each season.

HBO is great! The best show on TV is "The Wire" PERIOD! I don't understand others complaning. But I guess when you complain and still paying for it maybe folks just like to complain.

These are just my opinions.

And how about the Hesch cameo, was that his curtain call? He was another great character. I wonder why Tony was hitting up for that huge loan.

Even Paulie seems paranoid. Maybe that could have something to do with their downfall. Im not really worried about getting them all killed off. Hell that could happen in one or two big hits. Loved the nut house stuff. I thought it was far more interesting than episode 1.

anybody else think tony might get clipped at the foot of his driveway?

2nd episode this season he says how he isn't getting the paper anymore because it's dangerous. I assume in reference to when big pussy returned to him and was sitting at the bottom of the driveway and for a second tony thought it was a hit and started running up.

when paulie showed up in his driveway, he said sorry about the ambush T

just a few hints, or is it chase trying to make us think this way.

I could see tony lying in a pool of blood at the bottom of the driveway with carmella and family coming out crying. just a thought

Somewhat of a Verizon FIOS insider....

I really think Chris is going to get whacked and Anthony Jr. will step up to be just like his Dad. This would lead us into a possible spin-off series.

I'm going to go unconventional and predict that Carmela shoots Tony because she finds out that Tony had Adriana killed for talking to the Feds.

I thought about this as a possibilty. Camella brings up Adrianna and her mother all the time. She is going to find out what happened I think...but whether Tony or Chris will be responsible in her mind is hard to say.

That's why Christopher had to bare his teeth a little. He was alarmed, and has to get her to back off.

Christopher and Tony were OK with each other until Carm stirred the pot. She really got both of them looking over their shoulders -- literally, in the church scene.

I thought it was strange that Carm suddenly copped an attitude while she was cuddling the baby.

If Chris gets a little more alarmed, he might just pay Adriana's mom a late night visit.

I think he called it a "bridge" loan. Christopher is off on his own thing, Pauli's so spaced out he's not producing, so he has to go to a Hesch (Shylock) just to keep things going. Very Shakespearean IMO. To whom does Tony send envelopes to? If he has to borrow a paltry 200g, things must be breaking down. Again, who is Tony's boss?

Exactly, I love Edie but Carmella is a shallow materialistic person. But I'm sure this show isn't about how much depth these characters have, or if their the greatest thinkers of our time.

These are just my opinions.

He got the loan to pay off some gambling debts until he can work up the cash.
