It's almost beautiful enough to make me record it. But the story is terrible, and Will Smith is kinda annoying, so I'll only watch. I can't wait till they show Finding Nemo again, though. As animated movies go, I think it's even more gorgeous than ST, though the story is only a bit better (IMO).

I agree, the story is boring, along with Happy Feet.

Tonight:

Harry Potter & the Sorceror's Stone

Not a Potter fan, but I believe ABC has previously aired this. I just might take a peek at it while recording the Heroes marathon on NBC.

different network, but looking forward to Shrek in HD tonight on NBC

I'm longing for a day when all severe weather coverage is on the subchannel...

Shrek? On NBC?
OK, checking Titan, it is indeed scheduled for NBC tonight. So I guess ABC has the rights to Shrek 2, which was shown a few months back (not in HD ). It looks like NBC's broadcast won't be HD either. Guess I'll have to tune in to know for sure.

I use Zap2It and they have the HD symbol + HDTV Magazine lists it in HD

I'll record it as I'll be watching Survivor. I may edit out the commercials and compress it a bit and keep it on my external hard drive...

Minority Report tonight (as previously mentioned). Entertaining film, though the ending's fairly weak, IMO. Oh, what the hey? It's HD, so I'll watch and probably record as well.

MR's a bit (intentionally) grainy, but it still looked great. I'm no fan of Clooney, but lately Cruise isn't terribly popular either.

Speaking of ABC movie of the week, who can remember this famous Opening Sequence:

ABC Movie OF The Week

&

ABC Movie of Week Desi Arnaz Jr

2 Extra points if you can name the Composer & Actual Title

Crap on you.....I used to love that tune as a kid. Maybe you can blame today's technology, but it doesn't sound quite as nice as I remember. And no idea who the composer is....

Ah....Bacharach; no wonder I liked it so much.

Meanwhile, Ruffian tonight. Never heard of it, but it is in HD, and seems to be somewhat of a Seabiscuit ripoff. I think it's actually made for TV.....Scary Movie is showing on NBC at the same time, but not in HD.....at least not here.

Ruffian is a docudrama about one of the greatest fillies to ever race. She raced in the 70's but met with a tragic end. So appropriate to show this after Rags to Riches won the Belmont today.

Never signs up for anything

My hard drive took a dump about three weeks ago, taking PoTC, Spidey 1 and some Heroes episodes with it (all were HD). Nothing I did could repair or restore them, so I had to wipe it, and start over from scratch. S'what I get for not backing up to optical.

Anyway, it's back up again and waiting for Nemo next week.

(Nemo) there were two or three scenes (of the sky) that had some banding, but otherwise great PQ. Until it started raining hard, that is.

I happened to watch the end of Haunted Mansion tonight and was glad to see the promo for Monsters, Inc. during the closing credits. It was one of the very first things I saw in HD after I hooked up my new HDTV in fall '05, and it blew me away. I didn't have an HD DVR yet so I couldn't record it, and I haven't managed to catch it since then. Now's my chance!

I am so geeked for this now

It's time to give props to WLNS for the HD crawl generator!!!

Now we need WHTV to go HD and Lansing's CW to get a separate transmitter so it isn't a digital sub.
