You may think Kate was stupid for spilling the beans, but in the preview for next week it looks like it may lead to a long awaited losties sit-down-and-share-the-knowledge session. So maybe it was worth it.

A friend of my brother's sister's older cousin saw the next episode being taped, and said that during their "sit-down-and-share-the-knowledge" session, Hurley reveals his mad break dancing skills, which could get them all off the island if they could only find a large piece of cardboard for him to bust a move on.

W O W Great episode!!!

I think the last couple episodes will have the speed of a runaway freight train.

I had it figured out way early that Locke's dad was the one he was getting Sawyer to kill.

But some great insight as to the Others. They just "pack" up and go somewhere else when they want to leave someone behind!

Next week's episode looks to be even BETTER from the previews, and I peeked ahead at the guide listing.

I think the comment by Sayid that the sat phone was tech advanced farther than he'd seen before is interesting. Could be further evidence that Naomi comes from a slightly different Earth than where the island was originally.

three of the little VW busses...
an image of the "Roger Workman" uniform being burned (not sure if poor Rog was still in it)...

Have a look - must be frame-by-frame, not simply slo-motion.

All he said was "little too hot to be heaven..." or something like that. And how do you get killed in Hell?

As others have said though, next week looks like some sit down and talk time. Course, we've had expectations like that before with this show.

I still haven't given up on the psych experiment theory though. Get a bunch of people together, simulate a known crash, see how they react. All the memories/flashbacks could've been implanted.... Got a lot of holes though, like the others seeing the plane breakup...Course, the sighting of the plane could have been a signal to say "ok, let's begin the experiment"....hmmm...

It isn't purgatory. It's a cover story. When you want people to stop looking for survivors of flight 815, you give them a wrecked airplane at the bottom of the ocean where nobody can go retrieve the bodies. And we have seen proof that Penny has hired people to search for Desmond. The Portugese guys at the end of last season and the tree babe from the helicopter. And Locke's father described a classic hit and grab that we know these Dharma people can easily pull off. Heck I might think I was dead as well if I was in a car accident and everything went black when put into an ambulance. This is just a nose tweak to those who won't let go of the Purgatory theory.

Very interesting.

What an awesome episode. Fantastic acting on Sawyer's part (sorry don't know his real name ). And Locke conning the con man - fantastic.

I can't decide if I hate Kate or Jack more.

A great episode. The last ones seem to be even better.

So, any theories about the people in the stills that uploaded Clarence?

I didn't hear the podcast, but if that's the case, I'll probably take a pass on that episode.

Tonight's episode, OTOH, was outstanding, questions were asked....and.....answered!!! I think my heart just skipped a beat.

Either that or she is working for a company with deep pockets that has invested in advanced research on telecommunications.

Agree with most - incredible episode! Purgatory or not, I'm of the thought that Ben is Satan's emissary, and we'll be seeing his eyes turn red pretty soon...

I missed the previews, but from the screen caps it looks to me that we're going to be seeing the "wrap-up" of Dharma activities on the island. I'm guessing they'll also give us a peek as the the origin of the "others".

Jack Holloway is insanely good as Sawyer...the entire cast is great IMHO..Can't remember the last episode where anyone appeared to be acting (eyes giving away their `boredom').

Great acting all around last night. This cast is excellent, and one reason we have such a low tolerance for interlopers like Nikki & Paolo (I like to call them "soap opera mannequins").

It's not purgatory. If it was purgatory, why would the others take blood samples of the Losties? If it's purgatory, where did Michael and Walt go? Heaven? Why would they let Michael go to heaven after killing Anna Lucia and Libby? Hell? Why would Walt be sent to Hell? Remember, they left together.

Locke's father's comment (little too hot for heaven) doesn't mean jack. From his perspective, it may seem like hell (he was in an auto acccident and the next thing he knows is he's on the island, tied up and gagged)!

I think Nestor Carbonell's character is going to have a large role to play in what's happening next. Seems like he's been slowly introduced as an "other" that's not so "other" like.

The problem with obsessions is that they are insatiable.

What a difference the tail end of a season makes!

Next time they should write a full season of scripts, then toss the first two-thirds of them out, and continue onward from where the last third left off.

Great ep, other than Sawyer's killing of Locke's father which was as transparent as Saran Wrap from the get-go.

Even though Locke may show up with his father's body at the Others new camp next episode, Ben will know that Locke did not kill him, but may choose not to let on for his own manipulative reasons.

By who?? The Losties sure won't do it, and the Others will think a Lostie recovered the tape recorder by accident. Besides, Juliet (despite her appearance as a mole), will recognize the Losties are her safest bet to get off the island, and will be working with them to accomplish that goal.

BTW, last night's events convinced me that Ben actually fears Locke, which is why he tried to cut off his balls in front of the whole camp.
