Pictures of Natascha and her boys at LA X. Guess she is coming back to work. God Bless her. I bet David will be very protective of her and make things as easy as possible. God Bless her, she seems to be a very strong lady.

I'm liking this show. Catching up with the HD version on demand. Not exactly kid friendly.

Showtime was airing ads for season two of "Californication" in between "Weeds" and "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" last night.

I liked the first season. But I have a feeling that it will be tough to make a good second season with where they left things off at the end of the first.

Yes, the way it ended did seem to put a crimp in the whole makeup of the series. But i have faith in the writers, that they will make things interesting. I doubt very much that Karen and Hank will live happily ever after. Hank will stick his foot in his mouth i'm sure

I just saved it from someone that put it up at a private forum and there were some new scenes. I'm trying to figure out a way to link to it.

From USA Today
By Gary Levin, Brian Mansfield and Donna Freydkin, USA TODAY
Television
Showtime's cynical comedy Californication ended its first season on an unusual bright note, as David Duchovny's Hank Moody got his wish, stealing his ex, Karen (Natascha McElhone), from her wedding reception, and riding off Graduate-style with their daughter Becca.

The show's 12-episode second season, due in September, "investigates how much bull there is in happy endings," says creator Tom Kapinos. "How long can this go on before Hank is pulled into his darker impulses?"

Temptations include his new "dream job" as a biographer for an iconic record producer, who functions as "the devil on Hank's shoulder"; his agent's (Evan Handler) new niche representing porn stars; and a literary scandal involving Hank's manuscript, which teen conquest Mia passed off as her own. "His goal is to get the hell out of L.A. and move back to New York," Kapinos says. "Part of the fun is to see what prevents that from happening."

Gary Levin

DirecTV 101 is playing the first couple of episodes of Season 1.

Episode 1 12:30AM
Episode 2 1:00AM

Replays tomorrow at the same time. It appears be part of a Showtime preview. It doesn't look like they'll be replaying the whole season, but I'm not totally sure about that.

When Californication Continues: "Smiles Will Fade"

Natascha McElhone and David Duchovny by Randy Tepper/Showtime
Remember how the premiere season of Showtime's Californication ended in smiles? Well, that won't last. Creator Tom Kapinos sat down with us at the Season 1 DVD release party to dish on what will happen next with the dysfunctional family.

"The second season [arriving no sooner than September] is investigating the very nature of happy endings, whether they really exist at all," he says. "The reason I chose to freeze-frame it in that happy moment is because if you let it play out, eventually their smiles are going to fade and they have to deal with reality."

That reality is Sonia (played by Paula Marshall), who will return with a bun in the oven — a bun that may or may not be Hank's. "That [will be] splitting Hank and Karen apart in the early parts of the season," says Kapinos. Also, Battlestar Galactica's Callum Keith Rennie joins the cast as an iconic record producer, a kind of Phil Spector-meets-Rick Rubin who gives Hank the dream job of writing his biography. "This is the guy who functions as the devil on his shoulder, leading him back down the path." Like Hank Moody needs an excuse. — Carita Rizzo

David talks about Cali some

Time Out New York: I hear you’re moving back to New York with your family this fall. How long has it been since you last lived here?
David Duchovny: Over 20 years. Has it changed?
TONY: Not at all. Especially not the East Village, where you grew up.
David Duchovny: [Laughs] Yeah, it’s very different. But the East Village was always struggling to have an identity. I think it always will.

TONY: Does this mean the title of Californication will be changing to Newyornication?
David Duchovny: No, but I never liked the title anyway, because I didn’t want the focus to be on sex. I thought fornication kind of did that. So I tried for a long time but couldn’t come up with a better title.
TONY: What about Pecs and the City?
David Duchovny: There is a bunch of sex in it, yeah, but the sex part is really a marketing notion. Because you can’t say, “Hey, watch this show because it’s intelligent and it’s funny in a way that you haven’t seen in a while.” Early on it was apparent to me that they were going to hang it on tits and ass even though that’s never what the show was to me. But whatever. Come for the tits, stay for the dialogue.

The rest of the interview is about The XF Film If you want to read the whole thing go here.

Were you referring to the previous post? What about it do you consider to be a spoiler? I'm not trying to be facetious; I honestly didn't read anything (not that I'm an expert) in that post that I'd consider a spoiler.
