LMAO after that SNL skit I decided to check in here. I had seen this thread before many times, but always thought it was a thread warning people that watching USA-HD causes burn in on TV's or something. It never occured to me it was a show, so that skit had me ROFLMAO!!! The host, contestants, and even the judges were all shrugging their shoulders...too funny!

In my defense, I don't have cable/satellite

I should add that I converted the network HD images to 1080p with my Yamaha RX-V3900.

I suppose that the continued interest in this dreary topic is the result of what a wonderful show Burn Notice has been in every other way but PQ.

And the fact that there was quite a bit discussion by the network/creators about moving the show to California because of costs involved shooting in Miami. Given the PQ, they may as well have shot it on a backlot in Burbank.

I agree. BN has been a lot of fun. For for all the abuse it takes on PQ, it's not that bad. Yes, it could be better, or perhaps after a few Mojitos, I just over look it.

Sketch.... not skit. A skit is something you do at a party or a campfire.

NBC doesn't allow their stuff on youtube. Check here and scroll down, it's the third sketch on the page. Enjoy.

Great episode tonight. The CSI: Miami references were particularly humorous.

Yeah I did like those. It's things like that which make BN a good time in between things blowing up and all the subterfuge.

Thanks USA, I missed the last two Burn Notice episodes. They re-aired today from 4-6. Two for two, Burn Notice is amazing!

It was quite the unexpected ending tonight.

Tony Almeida once again sought revenge for a dead family member.

Oh, and a clipboard can certainly make you look official.

It was great seeing Almeida in Burn Notice.

I can't believe next week is the season finale??? It seems like it just started.

It's strange having the big August-January gap in the middle of the season. Makes both halves seem so quick. Only seven eps in this current run.

What a great show, I hope the finale sheds lots of light on Micheal's burn and why.

I wish Garret Dillahunt had shown up earlier because it would have made this season much better. Gilroy was just a terrible character acted badly, but Garret Dillahunt as Simon was much, much better. He seems to be cornering the market on memorable psycho/sociopaths.

Nice finale. One of the best of the show's run.

Great episode. I agree, Garret Dillahunt was great. We don't know exactly what happened to him, so it's possible he'll show up at a later date. I wish they would have made the season finale a 2-hour show. This went way too fast.

After watching the season finale I see that they spent most of there budget on car explosions and crashes. I guess that explains the PQ, not that I am complaining burn notice is such a good show that I would watch it in sd 4:3.

You can never judge a show by its pilot episode or the half season following it.

I thought ugh... this moron from the Terminator tv show... He's really not my fave but Burn Notice makes anyone look good. He's been in a lot of things lately and when it starts to happen to frequently for me I get irritated because I'm still stuck on his character from before. It's like when someone has been a bad guy on one show, isn't around for a while on that show but is brought back on as a good guy. Also, I liked Gilroy too.

Yeah, it's not really about the quality of the picture for this show, it's the quality of the show that make it great.

I agree on both counts. Garret Dillahunt is one of the best character actors on TV these days and this season's finale was terrific. I agreed with another poster who thought that Chris Vance, as the duty psycho, Gilroy, wasn't very good. The guy talked like a prissy West End chorus boy, although he certainly didn't look like one.

It was pretty clear by the end of the episode that Management was as good as his word and had his shadowy minions take Michael away from the FBI. I didn't know what to make of all that. While Michael's head was covered with a bag and he was being escorted through the security fences, it appeared as if he might be in Guantanamo but his quarters turned out to be nice, verging on palatial. I am curious to see where this goes. Anyway, I hope we get to see more of the wonderful John Mahoney, as Management, next season. I also would be happy if not surprised to see more of Dillahunt next season, as the new duty psycho, Simon.

I'd like to see John Mahoney back on TV too.

The ending started to remind me of The Prisoner - The old one, not the high-tech reworking - so I wonder if that will carry over next season or if the elaborate walk to the guest room was just to spice up the ending?

Weston as a prisoner/guest, forced to live unburned in a palatial hotel full of spies might be interesting. For a couple of episodes at least.

Burt Reynolds Joins Burn Notice

by Ileane Rudolph May 11, 2010 01:24 PM EST

Burt Reynolds as Michael Westen's ghost of Christmas future? Burn Notice executive producer Matt Nix says Reynolds has been cast on the witty romp as Paul Anderson, an older retired spy who Michael helps out with a bad problem. He's a Cold War relic, and Michael sees shades of a possible and not very bright future for himself in the down-on-his-luck once legendary operative., Nix tells TV Guide Magazine. In the episode, Michael tries to get the unflappable older gent, who still shows sparks of genius tradecraft, back into federal protection. Nix said since Reynolds lives in Florida, it seemed a great fit. Sounds fun to us!
