Pregame on WJBK-DT, Detroit via Brighthouse Cable: Commercial audio is some 20db down from program audio. It's like having an automatic mute button. Finally, a technical glitch I hope they don't fix.

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.

WFXT can not air a early game due to NFL regulations. (Pats are at home on CBS in a early game)

49ers vs. Steelers via WCCB Charlotte (via D* MPEG4 HD LIL) might be the best NFL on FOX I've seen to date.

I flipped into this game for a few minutes (KPTV Portland via Comcast) and it does look quite nice.

I polished off my first 6-pack before the game started - between that, and a content belly full of bratwurst - I may be more prone to hyperbole.

The primary 50 yard line high angle shots aren't pristine - but the rest looks fantastic.

OTA in Lexington, SC

It looked great at the beginning of the game. The close-ups looks awesome (usually always do), but as the games gone on...it seems like the picture is getting blurrier and blurrier...not as 'crisp' as it was at the beginning of the game...

I can't believe I'm saying this because I'm a Cowboys fan...but "Go Niners"

MN @ KC in Minneapolis on KMSP-DT via OTA, picture is bad. Blown-out whites (which they seem to be constantly adjusting way up and way down) and the PQ is blurry on pre-snap shots.

Watching the Bucs/St Louis game in Tampa, via FiOS. Not the sharpest pic I've seen, but about average for Fox.

I believe it. Cowboys fans are very prone to irrational statements - as well as fleeting displays of loyalty that vary dramatically depending on the Cowboys' record.

Or it could be that I have a higher disdain for the Steelers than I do for the 49ers .

Could've been those two Super Bowl losses.... lol

Those were only losses for the Cowboys - for the rest of America, they were victories.

That's OK though, 12 years with a playoff win can make you loopy. Only a select few number of teams' fans have to deal with that.

I have also noticed that when Fox has multiple games going on. Seems like the first 10 minutes or so are excellent, then by the half hour mark, the muxes "settle in" and you're left with a lower quality picture for the remainder of the game.

Definitely a drop off in PQ in the Steeler game.

I agree. Something is off. Picture also seems to be suffering when there's motion.

SF vs Pitt

52' 1080P LCD

Los Angeles TWC

It's the opposite for me, this game looked like crap earlier, but now it looks stunning.

WNYW - New York via Verizon FIOS.

Just finished watching the NYJ vs MIA on WCBS and now switched over to the NYG vs WSH game, I must say - FOX PQ is awful. Lots of artifacts on fast motion scene and over saturation on the colors.

I live in Durham and am using an HDTV antenna to pick up my signal. I have not gotten a single Fox NFL game in HD...it's always been in widescreen, but it is very clearly standard definition picture quality. CBS and NBC games look very crisp, very good. Fox baseball games also look great. I don't know what's going on, but it's very annoying.

Watched the Lions/Eagles game on WJBK (Detroit) earlier this afternoon, it looked good. What was really odd was FOX did not use a 50 yard line cam. Instead of the typical 3 up cams that serve as the main game cams, Fox used 2 for this game. Each one was at the 20 yard line on each side. I have seen this method used on high school and some low level college game, but have never seen an NFL game with only 2 game cams.

WNYW-DT NYC FIOS
NYG @ WASH

The main field cams look a bit edge enhanced. The cable cam looks very soft and edge enhanced. The cable cam looked much better last weekend.

The gound cams look fine.
Don't forget this is one of the sun and shade on the field cames so it will cause problems for the cameras.
