Huh, either someone at TVbytheNumbers reads AVS or Chuck is becoming magically relevant for some reason. I can't remember the last time I saw any comments anywhere about this show but this article about the ratings of Chuck in comparison the the current standards just appeared. If Chuck was airing now it wouldn't have needed Subway to save it each year.

I just saw the pilot for the show. Think it is going to be a hit. That blonde lady is hot and all those Nissans and Subway sandwiches are cool.

DON'T ARGUE WITH ME. I AM NEVER WONG.

Yeah, but aren't the standards for good ratings a lot lower now than they were then, what with live viewership declining and less attention being paid to TV in general compared with online offerings? If Chuck were on now, the ratings would probably be even lower than they were then, so they'd still need Subway.

*edit*

I guess the article confirms my supposition. Poor Chuck.

Since Chuck resurfaced here anyway, I thought it might be worth mentioning that Amazon today only has the complete series in BD for $40 - seems like a pretty good deal to me?

Nope. Unless you mean both lead actors have dark hair and both work in a retail environment that is below their intellectual capabilities. Then yep.

Somebody drag leebo's ass back here for a proper interrogation.

Actually, probably posted to the wrong thread, couldn't figure out how to delete the post and left a simple, "." in his wake.
Which spawned all of this.

At the last NerdHQ gathering a month or so ago, Chuck/Zac Levi said his aim is to have the cast gather back again to have singular standalone adventures. Like occasional Chuck specials or something. The cast is all for it, schedule permitting, but obviously they are just one cog in a big wheel.

Never saw it, but its mini-legend, I am vaguely familiar with. So I'll take your word for its applicability here.

Well, she had dark hair and put her Brown degree to good use in the gift shop where her supervisor was a pimply-faced adolescent nitwit...

Only half a season but one of a single-digit handful of shows I've ever watched twice. Chuck is one of an even smaller number of candidates to join that list someday...

Half of a season isn't much of a commitment. Still worth checking out today or was it an, "of it's time" only kind of show where some of its charms or originality would be lost on a new viewer?

Obviously it's not for everyone or it would have lasted longer, but if you're a Bryan Fuller fan it's a no-brainer. The disaffected university grad in 2004 maybe not quite as pertinent today but the characters and quirkiness should still be appealing, and like Pushing Daisies it's something genuinely different...

Then there was the special Halloween episode of Chuck where they revealed the entire Child's Play movie series was just a rogue Intersect project... Think about it!

FYI, Netflix has indicated that Chuck will be leaving the service November 1. Guess that means no Chuck revival on Netflix 😯.

For diehards, Levi organize's Q&A's on YouTube. Search Nerd HQ. (Sorry if this has been mentioned. I'm only up to season two in this thread).

I'm on my second viewing, halfway through season two.

I believe you can get the BD's at a pretty low price on Amazon. I have all 5 seasons just in case something like this happens.

By the way, check this out: http://en.mediamass.net/culture/chuck/reunion.html

Yeah, it got my hopes up... Really not sure what the issue is. I think the cast members want to do it. But usually these things don't live up to expectations.
