Yeah I thought so as well. Well i should say I didn't notice it becoming extremely poor as it used to in the Buy More store so I will consider that an improvement.

The promos during the night were great. They should have more of those. I can't believe NBC didn't kill the show by advertising something with a billboard and actually had extra Chuck in the break. Maybe they've realized that people actually like this show and if they don't screw around with it, they'll continue to like it.

All i can tell was it was picked up for a full season. With the writers strike a full season if they have 13 done means a 2nd season.

first, second ... it's all becoming a blur now.

If a show stops now and comes back in July is it the first or second season? If there's noone around to watch it does it still make a sound?

For me, the picture quality for this 'Chuck-wich' was still crappy. Didn't keep me from laughing my ass off when Chuck said 'How you like me now, suckaaa?' after kicking the guy...

I want Ed on DVD/Blu-ray!

Chuck was one of the earliest pickups for a second season way back in November.

NBC was probably drooling over the product placement prospects at the Buy More

Did you notice the big Garmin display board directly behind Chuck when he was in the stockroom with Casey in the last episode? It was way too prominent to be a freebie....

Hmm, Best Buy should just buy out the Buy More and relabel everything to Best Buy.

Isn't the Buy More set supposed to be filmed in a closed down Staples or some other store like that? It definitely most closely resembles a Best Buy.

If you're looking for reruns, the SciFi channel is using "Chuck" as the leadin to Flash Gordon and Stargate Atlantis on Friday.

Anyone notice those bugs in "Chuck vs. the Marlin" were just voltage regulators?

yeah, those top secret CIA high tech listening devices were huge! But it 's Chuck not The Company, so I'm willing to let it go.

Like the counter top CIA computer terminal at the weiner house.

Haha, yeah. They looked like transistors to me, or some other electronic with three substrates. I didn't get a good look because I was too busy laughing that the CIA would make a high-tech listening device shaped like a high schooler's prototyping component! Reminded me of the good old days in college.

It's a standard TO-220 package device, any of several types of components; with a few surface mount parts tacked onto the heatsink mounting tab. (two resistors, a capacitor and a transistor) While you could easily build something that size that would work, there's no power source or pickup mic/transducer on that one.

They should have added somes wires and a button battery cell on the back. If you can view his "flash" frame by frame, there are some detailed drawings and pictures.

If you build something with off-the-shelf parts (I have all of those types in my parts bins), it makes it hard to trace back to a specific source.

Back in college when I was getting my EE degree, they charged us between $0.05 and $1.00 for most prototype parts. I remember buying a GAL chip once for three bucks. After the lab was over, we'd tear down the breadboard, throw the parts in our bins, and buy more the next week. I'm sure if I wanted to, I could replicate those "bugs" from Chuck! All it takes is a little solder! Now, if only they would work...

When they make some more episodes.

Picking any date between May and next year is as good a guess as any.

Why is Chuck so grainy? It hardly even looks HD. The PQ of the behind-the-scenes promo during the back-to-back episodes a couple of weeks ago was beautiful. It was very sharp and crisp. Does it cost extra money to make the show that sharp and crisp in HD or is it grainy for "artistic purposes?"

NBC is not going to produce any more episodes for this season, but it has been renewed for season two. NBC will probably take advantage of the Olympics and get some shows started in late August when they're over, so it's possible that Chuck will start up then. If not late August, then it will come back in September.

heh heh, love the one where the giants Adam Baldwin and Zach Levy squat down to make Gomez seem tall

And why the hell is "McG" still using that moniker? It was mildly ridiculous during his Charlies Angles years, but now that he seems to be shooting for (and perhaps attaining) mainstream success it seems completely pointless and infantile.

Julia looks even cuter without that Goth-y look she sports on the show (though she looks nice with it, too), and Yvonne is as gorgeous as ever.

Here's a nice article from IGN.com on the Chuck panel at Paley Fest: http://tv.ign.com/articles/860/860824p1.html

It's a great read and makes me love these guys and gals even more. You already had the feeling Zachary was like his on-screen persona in some ways but his comments at the panel just reinforce it. Personally, I'm thrilled to be a fan of a show with a lovable geek as the hero, a guy all of us geeks here can relate with. And the showrunners just get us. Throw in the right mix of action, humor, romance, tech, pop culture references, and hot babes, and stir it up with an engaging, endearing ensemble cast, and you have the pure fun that is Chuck. Looking forward to another great season!

Hey, what happened to this show? I thought it would be back after the writers strike. Did I miss something in the "Hot Off the Press" thread, again?
