Question about my 4k TV and DirectTV 4k box....

ay, so I have a 4k UHDTV an LG 55UB8500.I have Directv 4K content, and it's hooked up to my TV where the HDMI HDCP 2.2 port is.

When I playback 4k content it plays in 2160p @24Hz.......I thought it was supposed to be @60Hz? The TV can do 120Hz.....

Also I notice in fast motion scenes, even when watching regular television whether it's 720p or up to 4K, it looks like lagging a little and sometimes the fast moving objects have a blurry pixelated image following behind it....

How do I fix this?

BTW this only started pretty much after they hooked up the 4k client btw. It was kind of like that, but now it's more noticeable

Threads merged.

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.

I don't believe you'll find any 4K 60p content. More probable is 4K@30p.

Also, if your ports are not HDMI 2.0, I'm pretty sure you won't get those speeds anyway.

Wink Just offered an HR54

I just got off the phone with DirecTV, and they offered to upgrade my Genie to an HR54. So I guess they are shipping - at least here in Austin TX. My two-year contract is up in Dec, and I am about to move, so I think I will wait. BUT - my HR34 HAS been acting up, so it might be time to demand a warranty swap under my protection plan.
