The episode was kinda ho-hum with a few funny one liners.

Game ball goes to Stewart in my mind. He's like a fungus. Can't beat him at being pathetic :

I laughed a few times especially during Sheldon's driving scenes. That's totally me.

Apparently I'm in the minority. I really didn't the enjoy the show the last couple of seasons (as in I can count the times I laughed over both seasons on two hands), but these first 2 episodes have had me laughing like the first few seasons. Even Sheldon doesn't fray my nerves like he used to the last few seasons.

I agree Mike...this season has started off very strong compared to the last couple.

Things were going along pretty well, program length wise, but tonight's (10/23/17) episode is only 19 min in length. Today's secret code word: balls

that's the norm now, 19 minutes, really nothing new

11 minutes of commercials ugh, love the DVR

The first four episodes were longer. But, I knew that A-hole CBS would start doing short episodes again.

I've only had my TiVo for a year and some change, but Tivo with Skipmode is perfect for this show

I like sitting in front of the TV as much as the next guy, but that doesn't mean I want to spend over a third of that time being bombarded with advertising. It's still wasteful of my time despite the fact that I'm already "wasting time" by choosing to sit in my easy chair and watch TV.

TV without a DVR is untenable.

Todd, come on and admit it as I will easily admit to doing this. You're watching a show and think you recorded it and hit the FF button and no response.

Yes, you're right. At my house, we call that being "caught up," and it is an unwelcome thing unless the end credits are rolling.
