It's starting to show some cracks though. The jokes aren't landing all the time and this takes away from the banter the group has which in my opinion is what made TBBT so good. It's still very good don't get me wrong but I'm more aware now when the show gets to the half hour mark. This wasn't the case last season.

I'm not getting tired of it, even the same jokes. My LOL moment this week was when Leonard told Penny how Sheldon invited the doctor in for hot beverage because he was upset. Penny asked, "Why did you do that? Didn't that upset you?" And Leonard says, "Of course it did! Then Sheldon made ME a hot beverage." So funny....

Agreed, I also liked the 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, etc. I still do that when I clean my Vitamix.

Didn't like that episode that much, not many laughs for us, a few chuckles but that was all. Bummed, I look forward to this show so much and then they throw in a lame episode like that.

I thought it was good. Loved the sequences with Howard, Stuart, and Howard's infamous cousin.

I actually liked last nights prom episode more than last week's show. Jeannie is gorgeous. Hope they bring her back. Sheldon saying the "L" word was unexpected and well done. Loved the reference to Hitchhiker's Guide too.

Bob Newhart Explains How ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Opened Up His Career

<img width="665" height="385" src="http://cdn.inquisitr.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Bob-Newhart-665x385.jpg" data-attID="1603881" class="single-leader wp-post-image" alt="Bob Newhart Explains How 'The Big Bang Theory' Opened Up His Career" />Bob Newhart has been a comedic pioneer for more than 50 years, dating back to when he first stepped on stage as a young stand-up comedian, and now the 85-year-old credits The Big Bang Theory for helping to bridge his work to a new generation.

Newhart, who is still active in touring his stand-up act, has recently gained acclaim for his role as Professor Proton on the CBS sitcom. The show also helped Newhart snag his first Emmy Award, something he was never able to do on acclaimed sitcoms like Newhart and The Bob Newhart Show.

In interview with the Great Falls Tribune ahead of a stand-up appearance, Bob Newhart said the comedy landscape has changed drastically from when he first started. Adult subject matter, which is addressed often and openly in The Big Bang Theory, was once almost taboo, Newhart said.

“When I first came in … there were just certain areas that you couldn’t go into and everybody knew you couldn’t go into them,” Newhart said, noting that stores would keep albums from racier comedians like Redd Foxx in brown wrappers. “People would go in and it was like ordering a drug. When someone wanted a Redd Foxx album, they’d look both ways to make sure no one was watching.”

Bob Newhart, despite a reputation for having “clean” shows, was something of a pioneer himself. In 1975 The Bob Newhart Show had a gay character, something he said was unusual at the time.

Newhart added that his more recent work — including The Big Bang Theory — has introduced him to an audience too young to know Newhart or The Bob Newhart Show.
“That’s fine. That’s great. You always want to appeal to as many people as you can,” he said.

Bob Newhart could have a future on The Big Bang Theory as well, despite the show’s decision to kill off Professor Proton. Showrunner Steve Molaro said the show has left a door open for Newhart to live on in the dreams of Sheldon Cooper, where he has already showed up portraying a Jedi Knight.

Just heard about this. Very sad.

Out of respect for the actress, I hope they don't recast the role. Having Howard's mother pass away would provide some good characater development for Howard too.

I am interested to see how this loss will be dealt with in the show. They probably have storyboards for the Stuart/Howard plot through the end of the season, and they could probably still film them without the need for her voice. But it would be a good move for the show to deal with it directly and change the direction of Howard and Stuart's rivalry.

Maybe if they have her die on the show, after some time passes, they could have Howard's dad show up for a few episodes. Viewers wouldn't see him either, and he would yell all the time too.

If a future script deals with the characters death there could be a will where she leaves the house to Stuart.

Permission to use this idea is granted to Chuck Lorre.

Once again Howard stole the show for me. His scenes were just hilarious. Although I did like Sheldon and Leonard sitting on the couch at the end. Their voices were funny, especially the way Leonard was talking. I like the, "You lovvvveeee me." moment.

Pretty solid episode. The white board with all the percentages was hilarious. He got it down to 1 in 300.

I thought the episode was ok.

I agree that they can probably run the entire season without having to use Howard's moms voice. Honestly, I enjoy the Stuart/Howard rivalry the most this season. When he showed up with the cousin, I thought that might have been one of the better scenes of the season.

The way they've referenced the cousin topic in the past when it has come up, I definitely did not expect A)the cousin to be that attractive, and B)the cousin to essentially be busting Howard's chops about it as well. Definitely hit me by surprise.
