I've figured it out. The characters are growing and maturing too quickly all of a sudden this season which is probably why I've been slightly taken aback. Again, this isn't really much of a criticism outside of the fact that these changes are happening too fast and the surprises and transitions are taking the place of the comedic element all too frequently.

They really need to put Stuart back in that couch eating dinner with the group more often He's the very underrated genius of the bunch in my opinion who deserves more screen time
Agreed, Stuart is amazingly good on this show.

He is not, at least according to MIDB.

Just watched the last few minutes of a rerun on CTV where the audio dropped out...but the laugh track kept playing.

Edit: Still can't believe it.

No sound, none. No music, noise voices, zero. There was 10-15 seconds silence then laughter. A few seconds later laughter. It did this (you could watch and the laughter lined up with the comical parts, it was a re-run) until the credits rolled. Probably the last 2-3 minutes of the show.

We don't find ourselves watching the show much any more and we were the types to never miss it. Personally I think its her hair cut but my woman finds that the new direction they are going with some of the characters isn't working. Still, I try to PVR it and watch it when I can.

Back to her haircut - because for me it's a "real" issue. There was a point in the season premier where her and Sheldon were in the car, she was in the back seat. I made the comment at the time that her and Sheldon had the same haircut, the woman agreed! ( which doesn't happen often) and since then I can't look at her anymore. Old lady hair cut.

You quit watching a show because of an actress's haircut? Interesting . . .

Are you kidding me, it's horrible. I'm one of those guys that thinks Short hair on Women is hideous, so there's no convincing me. It's like she's trying to be peter pan.

I prefer long hair too, but it's not that bad. What is worse is NO hair!

She's fallen into the married hair cut syndrome I have talked about for many years. There are a great number of women that will get their hair cut shorter once they get married. There are some other actresses that recently got married that did the same thing. Some women will go even shorter once they have kids. The theory is it's easier to take care of, especially when a woman has a husband and kids. Kaley is no different - she got married and cut her hair off. My wife didn't think of that util I pointed out to her after we'd been married a year or two. Once she paid attention to it, even she points it out.

I never noticed that too. They no longer need to be attractive after getting hitched. Haha.

For me it depends on the woman. There was a period in the film G.I. Jane where Demi Moore had her head shaved and I still thought she was quite hot.

The part with Howard and the bird after he almost killed it was hilarious. "I am tasting a lot of slim jim!" Good episode. Raj's dads lines around his wife are laugh out load funny.

For me the old adage "Buy the premise, buy the bit" applies here. I don't believe for one minute that a clean room would have ANY access to the outside, let alone to birds. I find the show is long past appointment tv, I just watch if I'm bored with everything else.

I was wondering how that was supposed to be a "clean room" if it wasn't sealed? Maybe I'm thinking about another type of environment? This episode wasn't all that funny, but it made me smile here and there.

Howard's mother, and lines referring to her, are noticeably absent. I'm still wondering what they're going to do about the character, now that the actress/voice has passed away.

This is actually expected in some cultures. I live in a neighborhood that has a significant Korean population. And many women there have expressed annoyance at their peers who pressure them to cut their hair just because they are in their 30's and have a kid. It's almost as if having long hair is perceived as a sign that you are in the market to cheat on your husband.

I agree with this. I wanted to laugh, but the idea that a bird could get into a clean room seemed far fetched.

I did laugh when Penny told them to erase their names from the sign up sheet.

Especially when they look at each other and then the next scene they are all happy and singing/dancing in their car.
