game is now up. Looks good on WJBK Detroit via Comcast.

Once again a new ALCS / FOX bug. This once looks the best of the three.

I have had 2 or 3 audio drop-outs so far on KTXL-DT. I am using OTA with ViP 622 receiver. No video issues.

WBRC 6-1 OTA

Looks better than Friday but looks like 480p from the pitcher to home plate. Sound is better than Friday but nothing like TBS coverage. Watching TBS in 1080i was the best looking baseball I had ever een in the ALDS not to mention the audio. Fox needs to step it up because the picture is grainy and lacks any "pop". Atleast they fixed the ALCS logo in the FOX bar.

GO TRIBE!!!!!!

I'm watching on Suddenlink Cable in Eastern NC and I'm getting blocking and artifacts on the screen every minute or so. Almost the same type of stuff I remember getting way back when I used to have DirecTV and it would be raining outside. Anyone else seeing that?

Also the sound is freaking terrible...sounds like the whole stadium is inside a tunnel.

*edit* Every other HD channel is fine and Fox wasn't doing this yesterday during the NFL games *edit*

Yeah.. the audio mix is awful. It sounds like there's a radio on in the background.

Well since 8:53pm east there is nothing for the Fox-HD channel
"No need to call us" Your local station is working to restore their signal as soon as possible. This T.V. station is having difficulties.

Right in the middle of game 3 of ALCS

Audio here in Indy is great. I feel like I'm sitting in the stadium. Fox may not have the best PQ, but I really enjoy their audio mix in DD 5.1. Watching WXIN-DT (Tribune Broadcasting), Indy via Bright House Networks.

I usually enjoy their audio too... and perhaps they are making the proper adjustments right now because it sounds like they took the “wild” mike out of the restroom.

timmy doesn't bother me as much as joe does... maybe i've listened to timmy for so long that i just kind of tune him out... whereas i have no idea how a ninny such as joe could have sprung from the loins of the GREAT jack buck...

as far as the game goes, NOT a shining moment for fox sports productions tonight... once we finally got the hd feed (probably a local problem), real noisy... choppy... yuk... the sd feed was almost as good (ok, that's an exagerration)...

audio is up to normal fox standards though... they always have good audio....

comcast south jersey.

I agree 1000%, where can I get the McCarver mute button?

PQ on TW in Maine is absolutley terrible! Video noise and macroblocking is making it look almost as bad as SD. As someone said earlier TBS has much better VQ and SQ.

Pretty grainy on TWC NY/NJ - must be the Fox feed. Wasn't this bad from Fenway.

OTA-Little Rock

I also saw the grain in the two or three minutes I watched. Both camera angles I saw had it. Hope it's not that way for the World Series (since none of my teams are in the playoffs, I'll just watch the Series and see the scores for the LCS games)

I'm longing for a day when all severe weather coverage is on the subchannel...

It's kind of interesting about PQ -- it seems to often depend on the stadium. I've seen clips from two CBS Chargers games in SanD, and the camera shots are ALWAYS overexposed and garish compared to every other outdoor CBS game I can remember. Very odd.

Grain was evident and I also observed some minor macro-b during the dark night shots of the Cleveland sky. Viewed via D* HR20 in the Cleveland, OH market.

On another note, I may just be spoiled by STO-HD's regular season broadcast, as that is still the best HD reproduction of baseball I've ever seen.

As for the broadcasters, I am actually quite surprised by the neutrality of Buck/McCarver compared to those biased hacks on TBS. Also, while TBS-HD broadcast of the ALDS (Indians vs. Yankees) was visually pristine, the constant audio drop-outs were quite annoying.

Go Tribe!

The baseball game on fox hd was better (not great though) than the nfl on sunday. The nfl games on fox hd seemed to be a good upconvert on the wide shots. I hope that is not a trend.

Glad I wasn't the only one that saw grain too. It looked like when I crank up my digicam ISO too much and picture noise is evident. Maybe the cams don't like the Tribes lighting? It wasn't super objectionable but definitely was there. I didn't notice such grain at Fenway. OTA by the way on my end.

Better camera shots of following the ball all the way from the batter to the outfield instead of the last 10 feet.Hope this trend continues.Picture quality ok,but not great.Move score banner up or get rid of it.
