Hi everyone,

I'm currently spending my first Christmas away from home and I've taken some equipment with me to make my stay here more bearable. What I have with me is an Xbox 360, 20.1" Dell monitor, a headphone setup that uses RCA audio cables, and some other stuff. I realized, however, when I got here that I had grabbed the wrong RCA cables, so now I have RCA-males coming from the xbox and RCA-males that I meant to use as the inputs for the phones.

I thought I figured out a solution by taking the audio from the xbox and plugging it into the audio-in on a Motorola DCT2000 (I believe that's what it is) comcast cable box and then taking the audio-out from the box and putting it into the headphones. My problem, however, is that I cannot find a way to tell the Moto box to switch to the audio-in. I can get the TV broadcast audio from the box onto the headphones, but I just can't swtich over to the Xbox audio. I've looked on the remote, within the Moto's menus, and on the front of the box's panel. I've searched Google and the AVS Forums high and low for solutions and have read through a bunch of PDF manuals to no avail. I'm trying to avoid buying any cables or adapters because i have everything I need at home (3 hrs. away) and don't want to buy double (actually, at this point, triple and quadruple) of anything. Does anybody have any experience with the DCT2000 box? Is there a way to switch the audio to the audio-in source? I can't imagine there wouldn't be, otherwise why are those inputs there?

Thank you.

Ok, nm, i figured it out. part of the problem was finding how Motorola's manuals described this feature.

In order for the audio-in to be heard via the speakers hooked up to the Moto box, the box itself must be powered off, otherwise, the tuner (i.e. TV channels) from the box take precedence and you won't hear anything but the television. Not exactly an intuitive or elegant design, but now I can hear the xbox so it's all good.
