Does anyone else here not have cable and simply connect to their computers? We have saved so much money not paying for cable! Our family room tv is connected to my computer and we watch most of our tv shows through Hulu. And one of the best things is that the longest commercial we have to watch is maybe 30 seconds long!

I canceled my cable a year ago and have saved over $1,000. I get 10 channels over the air that are crystal clear, I have a whole bookcase full of DVDs, and I watch streaming video on my computer. I have plenty to watch. I will never suscribe to cable again. If I had the cable setup I had now they would be charging me $90 a month for it. Just about every TV Show and movie is availble on DVD and you can get it from Netflix and spend money on just what you want to see. And you don't have to spend money on a bunch of worthless channels filled with reality shows, endless reruns, lame sitcoms, and tween shows.

Broadcast TV - a vital national public resource
