We just more or less "cut the cord" on cable. We now just have super basic cable coming into the house. Still get the local channels in HD so that's all we need.

However, our home theater consists of a surround sound receiver and a projector. How do I go about connecting coax cable into this setup? I could buy a converter, but I need a way to tune and change the channels. I'm hoping there's just some quick and easy box out there that does what we need.

Thanks for any help!

Assuming the coax from cable is connected to "something" with a digital tuner, it should have a digital audio output to connect to your surround sound receiver.

You need an external QAM tuner since I don't recall ever seeing a projector with a built in tuner. There are a few on the market, like this one:

http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?p=cm-7001&d=channel-master-cm7001-atsc/qam/ntsc-digital-hd-antenna-tuner-cm-7001&sku=020572070010&utm_campaign=base&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=google_base

Or this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CNC1w-7dg7sCFQ3hQgodm0kAyQ&Item=N82E16815260027&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Video+Devices+%26+TV+Tuners-_-N82E16815260027&ef_id=UpU-3gAAAaanGtiX:20131127004206:s

Depending on what projector and receiver you have, of course.

Don't believe everything on the Interwebz! A duck's quack DOES echo!

The Samsung might be a better choice as there's no telling how long Clear QAM will last in your neighborhood.
