Question Hdmi keystones for 4K ps4

Ok here goes again. Fail site didn't upload my last post..

So I have a PS4 pro that works in 4K UHD to my Samsung tv, this works fine with cable directly from PS4 to tv.

My problem is I have two wall sockets with cat 6/ant/hdmi/USB
One is near floor behind cabinet and the other is up above behind wall mounted tv.

When I use a 0.5m high speed hdmi lead from PS4 to bottom wall socket that is patched through to top hdmi mech via cable in the wall and then short lead from top wall plate to tv so 3 cables in total with 2 mechs, about 2.5 meters in total maybe 3.

This does not let the PS4 pro run in 4K.

Is the problem with mismatched cables, I'm pretty sure they are all high speed hdmi cables..?

Or are the Keystones/mechs the problem, I got them from middys about 2 years ago. Do I need newer hdmi 2.0 premium certified mechs?

Cheers.

If by keystone you mean punchdown keystone jack wall plates that could be your problem. 4k can be difficult to pass over even short distances if there is a "break" in the cable run. 1080p usually is not a problem.

There is no such thing has an HDMI 2.0 cable. They are either passive/active high speed HDMI. Premium High Speed HDMI cables are cables that have been certified by an ATC to meet current HDMI 2.0 specs and can be certified up to a maximum length of 25'. If legitimate, they will come with a QR label of authenticity that is counterfeit proof. You can try and replace the cables with the same kind, at lengths you need to see if that will work with the keystones but if not, you may have to figure out a way to have a continuous connection for you final setup. As you have proven, it works fine with a direct, single connection. Active cables will only work if the sink end is powered somehow, and the keystone is not unless you replace it with an active extender.
