Well I am moving and will be getting rid of direct tv and my Tivo

Does anyone know about the other 2 dvr's (fios and cablevision) What will I lose? how do they handle the crazy start times 10:02?

Spotted a recent post, maybe in the HD programming forum FIOS thread, about a new feature-packed FIOS operating system slated for introduction soon. Assume it applies to DVRs and even non-HDTV. With the luxury of both options--can't expect FIOS for a while in Manhattan--I'd opt for FIOS because its larger HD choice as well as reportedly better SD/HD picture quality (after comparing selections). -- John

I have not use either of the companies DVR's you mentioned. But have used Comcast's DVR and while it is "functionally" a DVR the software is just not as intuitive. The main thing you do lose is the Tivo "Season Pass", and thats a big one.
