QAM Channels - Frequencies? - AVS Forum

Quick question on digital cable QAM systems. When looking at the underlying major/minor channels numbers (say, as reported by Silicon Dust's web site) - do the major channel numbers map to the same frequencies as analog cable channel numbers? If my cable system delivers digital content on channels 87.1 and 87.2 - are those two logical channels using the same carrier frequency as analog cable channel 87 (600-606Mhz)?

Or does QAM use some other channel/frequency mapping convention? Thanks...

Yes. The number before the "." is the NTSC channel number.
