Hey everybody! I need some help over here looking for a Component to HDMI converter. I own a DLP Samsung but the Component output is no good anymore cause it needs a new board to fix the issue which I really don't want to spend on it cause its too much money $200-$300. I'm a noob here but and came up with the HDFURY but I don't if thats what I need. Any help is appreciated, thank you!!!!!!

EDIT: I also have a DVI port in the tv as well if that helps

Are you speaking of the component output from the DLP or the component input? Most AVRs will convert component to HDMI. Built in.

Do you mean component input on the TV?

If you want an HDMI input to component output then yes, this HD Fury device should work for you.

Some AVRs will up-convert component to HDMI but I don't think any will down-convert from HDMI to component.

Of course but, since the OP is a little unclear in his statements, it is not certain what he really needs.

Thanks for the help but I'm not too sure this is what I'm looking for. Let me describe what I'm looking for here. I'm looking for a converter that will let me use my Playstation 2 component cables into a HDMI input. So basically that product seems about right but instead of male component connectors, I need female connectors. Sorry for the confusion everybody, even I'm getting bout this and I shouldn't be lol!

So, you have component output from the PS2 and you want to connect this to an HDMI input on the DLP. If so, there are many devices which will do this. I have not tried any but Google responds to component to hdmi converter with lots.
