Does anyone have a thoughts on this product? I want to move all of my equipment into a closet with just one HDMI cable going into the TV. I have a receiver that will output my PS3, Xbox 360 and cable from only one HDMI output and thought this would work. I just want to get some heads up or input on the product before I buy it. Amazon has decent reviews but any other opinions would be great.

I was looking up info on the NAVS500 and I was told that it will work through walls. A friend of mine already has it and they use it with walls inbetween. When I asked them about it they said that it works no problem when its going through a few walls. Apparently it works best with direct line of sight but it can go through walls. I'm not sure how many walls before it starts having an issue but when I get mine I'll test it. Looking forward to a cleaner TV setup.

I just bought the Iogear 3D HD unit because my in-wall HDMI cable crapped out. http://www.iogear.com/product/GW3DHDKIT/

I do have line of sight about 15' from my PJ and it works perfectly. Slick device, it handles Blu Ray 1080p/24 with no issue at all and supposedly it can handle up to 100' through walls etc, but that's probably not an automatic. It does have an IR blaster which would come in handy for remote gear.

Probably want to make sure that you can return whatever you buy in case it doesn't work in your application. The other option that's out there is HDMI over cat5e, if you end up having to go wired it's a cheaper easier to retrofit than HDMI.

I still haven't bought the thing but from some of the comments it sounds like a viable option than having to run cables. Thanks again for everyones input.

Anyone figure out how many walls this will work through?

What I'd like to do is hook this up to my Onkyo reciever in my living room and have it play in my game room. Direct line would be 50' or so and through 2 walls. Do they need to be facing each other or does it send a signal out in all directions?

Anyone have anything similar? Planning on using this for UFC, Football, other sporting events. Just cheaper (in the long run) than buying another HD box from DirecTV.

Living Room
*NHT ThreeC *NHT Classic Three's (4) *Denon 3313ci *Outlaw Audio LFM-1EX (2)

Game Room
*NHT Absolute Tower (2) *Denon E300

I would want to use this with a projector mounted on the ceiling.

Does anyone know if there is a way to mount this on the ceiling next to the projector?

Also, does the device transmit full 1080p, or is it compressed in some way? If the signal is compressed, are any compression artifacts noticeable?
