I have a 3D TV and a 2D TV connected to my AV Receiver via a 3D compliant splitter. When I load 3D media (DVD) the disc initiates a test and determines that my system is not 3D compliant because it sees the 2D TV. I have not been able to locate a splitter that somehow masks or spoofs the test into not seeing the 2D TV. The only solution I can find would be a 4X2 Matrix switcher that would switch the 3D TV in and out of it's internal switcher. Does anyone have a more elegant solution and less costly solution? Assume HDMI.

It's working just as it was designed to... Best chance would be an HDMI Detective from Gefen - not sure if it's got the 3D support or not (good question for Gefen).

This will do the trick.
Octava 1x2 HDMI splitter

Connect your DVD player to the Octava 1x2 HDMI splitter then have 2 outputs go to 2 TV.

The Octava 1x2 HDMI splitter will tell DVD player to play 3D whenever possible.
