I recently got the whole house audio setup with Speakercraft's MZC-64. I have speakers in four zones and two iPod sources as inputs. All works fine.

The third input is set as AUX and I could play an analog audio (stereo) from a CD player. What I want is to use a PC audio (analog) as AUX input to MZC-64 unit.

I moved a PC to basement, connected desktop speakers and able to play music (analog audio out). Now, I disconnected PC speakers, connected PC analog audio out to MZC-64 using stereo minijack plug to RCA outs. But, there is no sound from MZC-64 to any zone on AUX input.

I confirmed that AUX input works by testing with CD player as source. I verified PC analog audio out by connecting to desktop speakers. But, when I connect from PC to MZC, it would not work.

I appreciate any ideas.

Thanks

the only thing left is the 3.5mm to RCA adaptor. Change that.

Are you using a line level or "speaker out" on your PC? In other words, are your PC speakers "powered" or "unpowered"...

You'll want to use a line-level, fixed output to connect to the unit.
