Folks,
First off in short I need to be able to add a few PC DVI outputs to a existing Video Matrix switcher.

Below is the existing equipment that is already working fine:

Xantech High Defintion Video Matrix Switcher
http://www.xantech.com/Video/HighDefinition/HDVideoAudioDistrib/HD88CC5/

Xantech HDRXSG01 HD receiver
http://www.xantech.com/Video/HighDefinition/SingleGangHDTrans/HDRXSG01/

Dish Network and BluRay Players
Solo VIP 211k
Sony BlueRay

Sharp Aquas TV
http://www.sharpusa.com/ForHome/HomeEntertainment/LCDTV/Models/LC70LE640U.aspx

I am trying to add a 1080 output from a PC to the XANTECH, however I'm running into an issue with signal.
Here are the pieces that I'm using to try and make it all work.

Video Card ATI FirePro 2450
http://www.amd.com/us/products/workstation/graphics/ati-firemv-2d/ati-firepro-2450-mv/Pages/ati-firepro-2450-mv.aspx

DVI to Component Converter - Attempt #1
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10235&cs_id=1023504&p_id=3869&seq=1&format=2
Stilling looking if the Video card can display the proper format, thinks its analog VGA output.

DVI-I Male to 3 RCA Component Adapter w/ DIP Switch for ATI Video Cards
http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10419&cs_id=1041901&p_id=2398&seq=1&format=2
Same issue.

I'm guessing that is will require another Video Card and or a phyiscal electric converter of some type. Please give me another help that you can.

Thanks
Tom

That card has VGA outputs as well - use VGA-to-component, which will be much easier than trying to get back from a digital signal... I assume the FirePro's breakout cable has all those connectors?

First, check to see if the video card will support a YPbPr output on the VGA port (many do) - it's sometimes called "HDTV output". If not, there are converters to get from VGA to component, but the results are likely better / cheaper than trying to do an external digital-to-analog solution.

EDIT: Removed link to product that was really only 480p capable...

Just check all the specs, the output is not on any of the cut sheets.
Wonder if I contact them anyone would really know.
Thanks

Anyone else? I asked a few other boards and they suggested this card..http://www.amd.com/us/products/workstation/graphics/ati-firemv-2d/2460-mv/Pages/2460-firemv.aspx But it doesn't work either.
Is converting to VGA then component the real way?
Thanks
