So this is hardly a well thought out question but at least wanted to ask before I got further into researching, calling customer support, or buying gear.

The company I work for is trying to get a conference room job and the customer is insisting on a Savant control system. Just wanted to know if Extrons SIS protocol is compatible with it. The Extron gear we intend to use is......
SW4 HDMI HDMI switcher(since the DVS605 does not have enough HDMI ins)
DVS 605 scaler/swticher
MVC 121 Plus small audio mixer

We want to make sure the Savant system is going to be able to simply switch inputs and adjust audio levels of each input on the audio mixer before we buy anything. Since the Extron gear is RS232 I assume it will all work but Savant is not partnered with Extron and Extron makes references to 'HyperTerminal' in all their documentation, I am hoping that is their way of simply not naming any control system companies.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Call savant directly

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. -Buddha

Give a monkey a brain and he'll swear he's the center of the universe. -Fishbone
