Are there any ~6 zone amps that have nice volume knobs (i.e. not screwdriver gain pots) in front but also allow for remote volume adjustment via cat 5 (or any hardwiring) from wall volume controls? Don't care about IR nor for $$ complex whole-house systems.

Thanks.

Those VCs are inline with the speaker cable, just a routine swap of existing VCs. Using a category cable will require motivation, time, and skills, AFAIK. You might consider Xantech for something like that.

Thank you for the suggestions. So let's say I went with the Speakercraft VC...is there a 4 or 6--zone distribution amp out there where I can wire this VC to it (via the Cat5 wires)...I have both Cat5 (home run) and 4-conductor speaker wire to each zone.

Thanks

Found the Speakercraft VSR-100 manual, but I think it's discontinued.

I thought that was only in-line with the speaker analog signal, but it looks to be wired via cat5 as well - for IR control.

Thanks for all the help. I ended up going with the HTD MCA-66 and it worked out really well.
