OK, I have a slight problem. I have a distribution amp hooked up to my theater setup but I am not sure where to mount it. I have some extra cable I NEED TO HIDE!!!
So, two situations:
First, I am looking for suggestions as to how and where to mount the amp
Second, I am looking for some suggestions on dealing with extra cable.

Thanks Guys!

The world is a pretty big place in which you can hide it. We have no idea what you're looking at, what your options are, or anything. Wherever you do place it, make sure it has adequate ventilation, won't get excessively hot, and is safe from the elements.

Just coil up the excess cable in a loop about the size of a c.d. and stash it wherever you want.

My 'local source audio amp' is recessed into a 4-gang junction box, behind a Decora plate, behind a wall-mount TV.

Do you have a TV? Perhaps it can be mounted to the back of it.

What type of 'distribution amp' is it? Model #, link, and/or pic would be a minimum.

Are you talking about a coax cable distribution amp?

I'd hide it behind the TV, mounted with double sided tape or Velcro. Or, at the other end of the cable.

And, I'd hide all cables behind drywall. If coax, I'd use keystone connectors and wallplates. Hide the Wallplates behind the TV, or other furniture.
