Read several posts here but I'm still not too clear on the jumper settings for the impedance-matching volume controls for 2 pairs of speakers connected to an amp via a speaker selector switch. The setup is:
-Yamaha AW390 speakers rated at 6 ohms connected to a Monoprice impedance-matching VC.
-Monoprice 8" in-ceiling speakers connected to a Monoprice impedance-matching VC.
-Speaker selector switch (no impedance-matching).
-2 channel amp rated at 8 ohms.
Near as I can tell from other posts, I should probably treat the 6-ohm speakers as 4-ohm for the sake of setting the jumpers since the Monoprice VC's don't list 6-ohm jumper settings.
Do I set the jumpers for both VC's according to the total pairs of speakers I have connecting back to the amp? If I do that then I would set both VC's to x4, as if I had 3 sets of 4-ohm speakers. Do I have this right or am I missing something?
Thanks for the help...
