I am building a new House shortly and was wondering if anyone could recommend me some amplifiers to power some in-ceiling/wall speakers? The source will be my Squeezebox touches, duet. This is not audiophile gear I am after, just for background music. I will be running either 3 or 4 zones
and the AudioSource AMP-100 looks great for my needs. I want something with auto on/off so whenever I want to listen to music all I have to do is fire up ipeng on my iphone/ipad and the music is playing. The problem I have is I am in Australia and can't find those amps here and can't seem to find
anything else with the auto on/off. I would obviously need one amp for each zone so really don't want to spend more than $200 an AMP. I could probably use some kind of freight forward company but shipping would be expensive, not sure if they work with 240v etc. I know they are a Chinese brand
anywhere you can buy them direct?

Otherwise some alternative well know brands that I might be able to source here would be great. Rackmount would also be nice as they will all be sitting in a server rack.

Thanks for the help!

Don't know about shipping / availability down under, but Dayton (from Parts Express) and HTD both have relatively inexpensive multi-channel amps with auto on/ioff...

Thanks for the reply mate!

The Dayton Audio MA1240a looks perfect for me and they seem to ship internationally.

You will find the same Dayton Amp at this site for less $$$.

I have been looking at this in planning my Home AV system.
