I'm looking for an A/V matrix switch with 8 sources and 10 zones. I'm leaning to the Audio Authority HLX in spite of, or perhaps because, it's component, not HDMI. I want it to just work once it's set up without the hassles that HDMI still seems to give today. I also like the expandability and potential to add a fully matrixed audio to the video.

My question is - Has anyone actually set up an HLX with a DIY control system? (Irule, Cinemar, others) If you have, any recommendations?

Thanks,

Paul

Has anyone installed (or had installed for them) an AA HLX?

Thanks,

Paul

I know folks who have used the AVAtrix from AA, and they've been very happy - rock solid stuff... Can't imagine you'd have any trouble getting iRule to work with any AA gear, they've been used with automation systems for, well, decades...
