I just installed an IR Repeater and I am having something strange happened. On Friday, I installed the unit in the LR and ran the wire to the room with my components. The kit came with 4 dual emitters. On Friday, I installed the block and only used one of the dual emitters to my AVR and one to my DirecTV box because thats all I needed. Both worked fine the whole night without issue - quick response. Today, I was going to finish up and added a second emitter. It seems that when I add another emitter - the first one stops working. Although the feedback led lights when remote signals are sent, neither component responds. I unplug the second emitter, the first ones work again. Thinking it was a bad port or wire, I moved everything around and used different cords but anything I do I get the same result - when only one is plugged in, AVR and DTV work fine but when a second (of 4) is plugged into any port the first ones components stop working - unplug, works fine.

Anyone experience anything like this?

Thanks.

Even if I knew the make and model of the IR extender, I couldn't help you.

But, that may be important to others. Post the details.
