HI everyone

thanks for your forum...I will hopefully find a solution in here. I have just bought a Samsung home theater 2.1 with a Blueray as the central unit. There is no headphone jack available and cant use my headphones anymore. It is very annoying as I'd like to be still able to watch my movies while my kids are around playing or i should say screaming.

The only time i can use my headphone is when i use the tv as a source because the tv is equipped with a jack. However when i use my sky box and my other satellite receiver box there is no way to use my headphone as they are both connected to the home theater and this later doesnt have any jack. I have checked and there is no rca output neither!?§ I don't understand why samsung didnt think this through.

Is there any solution to my problem??!?? maybe a hdmi adaptor or something like this

Please see the model i have and its specs:

You say is has "composite output" in the specs you list. Isn't that what people consider to be an "RCA output?" All you'd need is one of those adapters

Now I don't know if you could be watching via HDMI and have the sound out of composite. But it'd be worth a shot.

composite refers to a video signal.

Yes,there's nothing composite about audio, it's a seperate signal.

Composite video consists of video, blanking and sync.

Yes, clearly Composite Video is a video signal. I just found it odd that he has composite video with no audio. Kinda like if I ate supper at your house, I'd find it odd that you had a salt shaker but no pepper shaker. wink.gif

I just checked the manual of his box, and don't see anything of the sort for audio out. I know they make HDMI audio extractors, but I've never used them. And what what I've seen they're complicated and expensive. Good luck, OP smile.gif

The device is designed to drive speakers, why would it have a line level output?
