I am contemplating using a 6 gang metal wall box to house my HDMI wall plates in the closet that houses all my wires for video and audio. I am concerned that using a metal wall box will cause interference with my video signal(s). Let me know if this cause any issues before I install. Any insight would be great.
Watch the bend radius though on HDMI cables. The six gang switch boxes are usually just an inch and a half deep. There is an advantage to low voltage rings in that they put a lot less stress on the connection when the plate is pushed back into the wall. They also allow a decent service loop on the wire that just falls back into the wall cavity versus being crunched into a box.
