I don't want to excuse Monoprice for this fiasco, but specifically it appears that this CM rated cable was being sold as CMR. You know better than I do if CM is rated for residential use - is it? I haven't seen any codes requiring riser-rated cable in homes, but I have limited experience.

And, yes, I know this may be the 'tip of the iceberg', and that it may not be a single limited instance.

Has anyone heard if any of their other cables were affected, such as speaker wire? I'm currently running hundreds of feet of their in-wall speaker wire and need some assurance that it is actually in-wall rated.
