I'm going to be using this Coby 7" Android tablet as a media streamer and I need to find a way to securely mount it near my AV equipment. (http://www.amazon.com/Coby-7-Inch-Android-Internet-Tablet/dp/B00B2HCLL6/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1368895822&sr=1-1) My mount location is overhead so ideally, I'd be able to angle it downward so I can see it when I select music. I'm not planning to use this for anything other than streaming music, so the mount doesn't need to provide easy access.

I've looked for a mount for a couple of days now, and haven't found anything. Everything is designed for a full size iPad. The closest I have found is from Peerless. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0081XAWKG/?tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=25564344991&hvpos=1t2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=735670279555345963&hvpone=43.09&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_4au8uijd5f_b

I have my doubts that it will work for a 7" tablet. Do you know of anything similar to this that is designed for 7" tablets? Thanks for the help.

May I make a suggestion?

Okay, just kidding. Unfortunately, I am not aware of good docks for this. Part of going Android is living with this type of issue. Get an iPad, you have a dozen choices, go with Android, and you have to cobble stuff together.

Not sure if you saw this option though...

Oh, and this page has some options:

Search for 'tablet wall mount' - and you will get from here to there I believe.

Thanks for the links. I hadn't seen that IOmount yet, so thanks for that. After looking around, I'll probably just get some small mount and use some strong velcro. That should be enough to hold it, I hope.

There is a fellow over on Cocoontech who had a thread about his unique DIY mount

http://cocoontech.com/forums/topic/24508-my-affordable-removable-wall-touchscreen-solution/

The thread is a little wonky, but he linked to his build here
http://www.controlmypad.com/projects.html

Kinda an interesting premise smile.gif
