Hi everyone…I am upgrading my current analog security camera/dvr system to an ip based. My problem is that the current analog system has coax & 16/2 siamese wire already in place. Is there any kind of a device that would convert the camera's rj45 cat6 connector to coax, and then back to rj45 cat6 to connect into the nvr. I'm using the digimere dome ip outdoor cameras. I don't want to have to re-run all new cat6 cable. Does power carry over coax? The cameras are POE, but the power comes from the NVR.

Hundred bucks a pair. There might be others out there. http://www.amazon.com/Dualcomm-Ethernet-over-Adapters-DECA-100/dp/B009AGCLVG (use the existing wire pair for power)
