HDMI w/ Ethernet needed?

Hopefully I am posting this in the right forum.

Just bought new Sony KDL65w850a LCD 3d HDTV. Components will be samsung blu ray player, PS3 and DirecTV Genie. We will be using the Vizio S4251w-B4 5.1 Soundbar for audio.

The plan is to connect all devices directly to the TV via individual HDMI. Then connect the TV to the soundbar via Optical.

We also have a Comcast modem for high speed internet and generally get about 55mbps when hard wired and 38-40 via home wifi. We have an Ethernet cable running from modem to DirecTV Genie for on demand.

Does the above suggested configuration (all components to tv via HDMI, then tv to soundbar via optical) sound right? First time doing this so wanted to make sure. Should we expect to get the smart tv apps (netflix, etc) to play thru the soundbar with no issues if using the optical cable?

Also, I need HDMI cables and read for most they are primarily all very similar. I am seeing some that say "Hi-speed with Ethernet"....do I need this cable for the above setup or will a normal hi speed HDMI cable suffice?

Thanks in advance-

Normal cable will be fine - I don't believe there are any products that have implemented the Ethernet piggyback function in HDMI...

Connect everything to the TV, and the optical output to the soundbar. Hopefully your display will repeat the audio from the attached HDMI devices...
