I just moved into a house built in 2009. It has a DataComm box in the closet with CATV cable to each room, Ethernet, and a security system.
I wall mounted my 55" TV over the fireplace, which has a remote power jack, and remote coax plate installed behind the TV.
My best guess says that the CATV cable labeled "Living Room" runs to the wall plate behind the TV. However, I tried to tug on the wire to see if it would move in the living room, but it did not.
Is there anyway to figure out where the CATV cable in the closet runs to? If it does in fact go directly to the living room, what would be the best way to run an HDMI cable alongside it?
Thanks in advanced.
