Hi all. Moving into our new house soon and before we plaster, wallpaper and lay carpets etc I want to have cables installed for whatever I end up doing. I've broken my questions up into sections.
In the lounge will be the main plasma tv. Our sky satellite box can be installed here (or anywhere else if you think that's better?). I also have a PS4 there. I would like to be able to send the feed from this Sky box around the house, primarily master bedroom and garage, but possibly in the future kitchen, 2nd bedrooms, etc. There is a roof mounted antenna which feeds into the lounge.
I plan to take a coaxial feed from the living room to a 'distribution point' in a closet where it can then be split to go into the other zones. Obviously I don't want to watch such low RF quality, but this is primarily to carry the MagicEye remote control signal back to the box. It will also be providing a dvb-t signal to the other TV's just incase they want to watch something separate via Freeview. I will also be following this cable route with HDMI. I estimate this run to the 'junction box' closet will be around 15 meters. Each zone after this will be up to a maximum of a further 15 meters, probably less.
In the closet I plan to install a HDMI splitter with a built in booster. Should I also boost at the source (using a HDMI over Ethernet with built in booster)? FWIW I want the HDMI feed to carry audio, and preferably surround sound to be future proof. 3D and 4K future proof would be ideal but not if it costs lots more. Also I plan to install a RF splitter here with built in booster that will pass on the magiceye signal.
I will be installing some sort of CCTV DVR in this same closet, do they still have an RF output and if so it would be nice to combine that into here so that the cameras can be viewed on any tv (but I guess the signal can't go backwards back to the lounge tv).
----------------
I will also be sending signal from my computer to the lounge TV for gaming. This is about a 5m cable run. Should I use HDMI? VGA seems outdate and the plasma doesn't have DVI. I also want the HDMI to take surround sound, which will be outputted from the TV's optical out to my receiver.

Audio
I currently have a Teac Reference A-H300 amp with the matching tuner, cd changer, minidisc and cassette decks, as well as a turntable and Definitive Technology Pro-sound 2.1 speakers. The sound is amazing, I love it, and have no desire to change this. However, I also have a Teac AG-H350 receiver giving me 5.1 via some Creative Gigaworks S750 satellites (the active sub blew up) and so sharing the DT's sub.
I need to somehow combine this system and simplify things. I hate having 2 sets of speakers in the same room. In the new house I plan to wall mount the satellites. The simplest thing is to get rid of the A-H300 amp, but I can't fit all my components onto the AG-H350, plus the AG-H350 is on its way out as the centre channel sometimes crackles and has to be turned on and off.
Again I love the sound of my AG-H300, but I'm not sure if its actually the sound from the DT 2.1 that sounds so good.
I would also like to go back to 7.1.
What should I do? The only speaker upgrade that seems worthy enough are some floorstanding B&W's with booshelf satelites. Would the bass from this compare to being used to a Sub which is currently behind the sofa and so also giving force feedback!?
If I get a new receiver can I somehow send the front left and right signals to the A-H300 amp aux in? Although this seems messy especially with separate volume controls. I don't like the idea of a receiver turning my stereo CD's into some sort of Dolby Pro Logic mess? Or am I being silly?
The TV is going to be wallmounted and all cables plastered into the wall going to an AV cabinet at the side.
-------------------
I would like to also send my stereo audio around the house, in particular to the garden, so again what cables should I run? Just a pair of speaker cables to my distribution closet for now?
Thanks for taking the time to read all this. Any input on what I should do is appreciated. Thanks in advance
