This is probably a stupid question but bear with me for a sec.

I have 3 rf modulators in the family room, dvd player, vcr and tivo and I tried to combine them with the input from the cable system so I can watch any of the new channels with the rest of the house. Pushing the signals onto the cable line really didn't work very well, so I'm in the process of pulling a cable from the cable box and will put the 3 rf modulators on a combiner and want to join them back at the cable box (with another combiner). note: that I have a bandpass filter from the cable so I'm not worried about signal collision.

My question is how do I balance the signals? (which was one of the problems with the old way).. I don't have power in the box and I don't look forward to pulling it so I would like to avoid that if possible.

thanks for any suggestions (well, except that I don't really want to replace all of the modulators or pull more than one cable if possible.

many thanks,
