I am in the middle of wiring a friends new construction house for a HTD Mid-Level System. When I started wiring it, I was following his instructions of what to run Single Cat6 & Single 4 conductor speaker wire to each of the 7 keypad locations. This was suggested to him by HTD. After sitting back and thinking about what I was actually doing it made no sense to me as to why we were running so much 4 conductor wire. So I jumped on the phone with HTD to ask some questions and pretty sure I got it. The wordage they use isn't exactly what I would call accurate. So with that being said I took some time tonight while bored at work to make a drawing on Paint(sorry that's the only program the work computers have) of what im thinking needs to be done. Could someone with HTD experience take a moment to look this over please? I also included a 3rd drawing to see if a idea I have would be ok (ohm and sound quality wise) to run the speaker wire. If this way is ok, it would save hundreds of feet of wire. Thanks for you time!
