Has anyone had any luck extending the reach of the built-in IR extenders on Mitsubishi HDTVs? (I have a 65907.)

I had a xantech system in my prior house, but I'm thinking that since the Mits has this feature built in, all I'd need to do is figure out a way to extend the length of the cables it uses to about 20' and I'd be set.

Will the signal carry that far with acceptable strength with the built-in Mitsubishi signals? Anyone done this?

Failing this, any recommendations for a repeater?

20 feet. No problem. I have done that with a Mitsu
Since it's ir I would bet you send the ir 100 ft. but I haven't done that with a Mitsu. I have sent ir 500 ft with a control system.
