I need to run cables (1 video, 2 audio) with RCA plugs from my modulator to my satellite receiver. It is about 25 to 30ft. Can I use an RG6 cable using an "F" female to RCA male adapter for the video? How about audio? I would prefer to use something I can get locally and since the signals are going through a modulator, I don't think it's necessary to buy high (high cost) quality custom made cables. Does anybody have any other ideas for reasonably priced cables that I can get quickly. Thanks.
I have a run of at least 25 feet from the A/V receiver in my family room to a modulator in the basement. I used RG-6 coax with F to RCA connectors (just like you described) for video and light gauge speaker wire with RCA connectors for audio. Works great in my application.
