I have two separate lines coming from an external cable box going to two separate rooms in my condo. If I wanted to send the signal from one room to the other, would I have to run coax between the rooms or would the signal sent from the modulator be able to send the signal out to the external box and then back into the other room?

TIA,

I'll try to help, but I can't tell what exactly you're trying to accomplish.

You say "I have two separate lines coming from external cable box"... what do you mean by lines? Coax, composite video, audio???

Also, "I wanted to send the signal from one room to another"..... what signal?

And you say you have a modulator. Where is it in this setup??

Why don't you tell us what you want to accomplish. This might be easier than trying to verbalize how the wires are run. For example, "I have 3 TV's in three rooms and I want to watch different channels on each of them using one cable box". Obviously, that's not what you're trying to accomplish, but that's kind of what helps us understand what you want to do.

<SNIP>

Sorry for the unclear question! Here's another attempt...

I would like to be able to send whatever is sent to my main TV in my living room to my bedroom TV. I have a switch that allows me to watch my DVD player, TiVo, VCR, or Playstation in my living room.

I've read some information about modulators (I've only seen coax ones), and wondered if it would work in my situation. My condo has two coax lines coming from outside, one each for my living room and bedroom. So, my question is would a coax modulator properly send the living room video and audio signals to the bedroom TV with my current setup, or would I have to run a direct coax line between the rooms?

Hopefully this is a little clearer!

Thanks,

BrettStah
