Anyone know of any products that'll let me send s-video and/or audio over cat5? I only need to go about 30 feet. I've only got one rg6 but (4) cat5 runs in between these locations.

Thanks

You can use one run of cat 5 for your s-video with some new connectors from Leviton. Check it out: http://www.smarthome.com/865166.html
The audio can be fed with a set of Baluns. Here is a link: http://www.smarthome.com/7805.html
They are kinda pricey at the site. You can check with a CCTV distributer and find them to. I hope this helps.

I see it only uses 2 pairs, does anyone make audio ones for cat5? You could run stereo or digital sound plus s-video over a single cat 5 run if so.

Sonance makes a "Balanced Line Driver" for sending L/R audio over Cat 5. LM1 or somthing like that. Two different part numbers.

Russound has a product line arond cat5 for audio distribution. It's called A-Bus. The nice things is that it carries the sound one way and could provide a light amp (enough for inceiling app) in the keypad. The other way, it is carrying IR signal so you could actually remote control your equipment.

I've just installed this kit at home and it is great! If you need more info, feel free to ask.
